Directions

In Paraparaumu, turn into Kapiti Road at the (only) SH1 traffic lights. Follow Kapiti Road down to the beach (approx. 3.5kms). The coastguard building is at the end of Kapiti Road. Turn left onto Marine Parade and you will see Barnacles on the left (No. 3 )

Awesome restored historical building (since 1923) with loads of character.

Situated at Paraparaumu Beach on the Kapiti Coast, our YHA/BBH Hostel is less than an hour north of Wellington.

Boat trips to the Bird Sanctuary at Kapiti Island can be arranged.
