"This facility was bordering on third world and I was disgusted. I have never stayed anywhere worse anywhere in the world. The room stank. There was mould on the toilet floor, the decor was 1970's, cigarette burns on the carpet, cracked formica in the shower, peeling paint everywhere, two power points did not work, the TV channels were crap and terrible reception, The kettle had to be changed as it did not work and to cap it off I paid $20 a night more than I paid for a two year old clean neat facility at Shotover Lodge near Queenstown. "Beds were comfortable and clean but when you entred the bathroom in room 203 it smelt of musty and had mould thick up under sink and under bench, explosed board on walls not painted and lots of paint bubbles some large flaking off the walls.
