"This was a well presented studio unit. Very spacious, very comfortable and tidy." Dominique Murphy, 19 July 2010
"Unfortunately our room had a connecting door that wasn't soundproof. I understand that this occurs at times, however prospective customers need to be advised and also asked to be quiet after 11pm. Our neighbours were still enjoying themselves at midnight and were completely unaware that we could hear their conversation. We were not impressed and will not be returning to this motel. I tried to tell the office staff the next morning but the woman was not very interested. She was also not very interested when we told her the electric blanket was not working nor the hairdryer!! Not good value for the money." Donald Carolan, 3 December 2009
Hanmer Inn Motel Response: We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at the Hanmer Inn Motel. Yes we do realise that sometimes it can be a problem with the interconnecting door. As for not appearing to be interested in your complaint. We take all complaints very seriously and make all attempts to solve any problems that a guest may have. We were not, unfortunately, to know that one half of the electric blanket was not working. It certainly was at the beginning of winter. A new electric blanket has been fitted. As for the hairdryer, it was checked and unfortunately you had not pressed the heat setting on the hairdryer, that is why it was not heating up with you, it was working. Of course, if it had been faulty it would have been replaced immediately. Once again we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay.
"The Motel was central to the town centre, it was quiet, clean and homely." Slade Tiller, 18 July 2009
"Place was very small. Could hear others in their room next door very clearly. Had cooking facilities in the room which was great. Good for a one night stay." Anonymous, 23 June 2009
"Good accommodation and service. We noticed a smell of cigarettes ONLY in the office which is a bit off putting." Anonymous, 19 May 2009
