A stunning 1.5 hr drive from Queenstown! Take Esplanade Dr. out of town & follow the signs to Glenorchy. Be sure to have your camera out at the half way point (26km) for an incredible photo opportunity!

In Glenorchy, turn right at the roundabout & follow the signs to Kinloch (26km). The last 9km of road from Glenorchy to Kinloch is unsealed (gravel).

From Nov - Easter, there is scheduled bus transport from Queenstown. During the winter, pick-ups may be possible - please call prior to booking.

Overview

Located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu just across from Glenorchy township, a stay at Kinloch Lodge is a highlight of any holiday. Most rooms have spectacular lake and mountain views - it's easy to see why Kinloch is an authors pick in the latest edition of the Lonely Planet.

Kinloch is situated midway between the Routeburn and Greenstone tracks and is a haven for walkers, fishermen and people who enjoy the peacefulness of nature.
