"The proprietor is a nice guy but he is not really set up to provide B&B accommodation of the standard we expected for the tariff. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were clean and there was an adequate supply of linen. However the living spaces were a shambles and we had to forage for our own breakfast. This is perhaps suitable for groups of young snowboarders during the ski season but is not really appropriate for older couples like ourselves. Once again, though, the proprietor was friendly and helpful and gave us good advice on where to eat - it was just that he wasn't really prepared for short-stay summer tourists like us." Anonymous, 26 December 2008

From the 'Junction' turn at Hot Lava,up over the hill past Kings,veer right down Miro Hill,2nd left is Southridge Drive,go to the end.
Min 2 night stay on weekends.

Absolutely Fabulous

With one of the better views of Mt Ruapehu,whether its just dumped snow in town or on a moonlite nite watching the snowgroomers, Nottages Cottage is the place to stay for your unique Ohakune Adventure.
Be warned 2 cats on site

Maybe one of New Zealands nicer log cabins, built with logs from Karioi Forest and other New Zealand timbers from surrounding forests.

Unspoilt Raetihi Hill and mountain views from many rooms. A leisurely 10 minute walk to the 'Junction' and Ohakune Railway Station or the Tongaririo World Heritage National Park.

Your alarm clock...a chorus of birds or maybe even a far away speeding freight train. And on a clear night out on the deck, behold the Milky Way, the perfect night picture above you.
