Directions

Nautilus Aviation operates scheduled daily flights between Townsville Airport and Orpheus. From Townsville Airport, enjoy a 30 minute scenic flight over the spectacular Great Barrier Reef to Orpheus Island.

The cost of this transfer is NOT INCLUDED in the room rate and must be organised with the Reservations Department prior to arrival (+61 07 4777 7377 or email reservations@orpheus.com.au).

Pricing is $550 per person, return.

Overview

Orpheus is very much a secret to the outside world - a rare island of exceptional beauty.

Located amidst the magical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, Orpheus is nestled in a sheltered bay of a National Park Island. Positioned 80 kilometres north of Townsville and 190 kilometres south of Cairns, Orpheus sits in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef and is fringed by some of Queensland’s most spectacular coral.

Catering for the discerning traveller, Orpheus is a magical tropical isle without the unnecessary formalities. The island atmosphere is relaxed and unspoilt, one we feel best suits a tropical island. Accommodating a maximum of 34 pampered guests at any one time ensures serenity and seclusion reign.

Your nightly tariff includes all meals, complimentary house wines, beers and soft drinks, and an experiential activity each day of your stay e.g. snorkelling, fishing, island cruising etc. Flights to Orpheus Island are not included in the nightly tariff.

    If the reservation is cancelled thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date, the deposit is fully refundable. If the reservation is cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date, an amount equal to one (1) day's stay + flights is not refundable. No refund is available for cancellations or non-utilisation of any services after the stay has commenced. Orpheus recommends travel insurance.
