My room had two packs of ear plugs. I found out later it is because of a noisy bar right underneath. I stayed early in the week so the bar was not open. Room 101 must be the Queen of rooms: biggest I've ever seen, we hardly knew which chair to sit in; everything we could possibly need, and some things we didn't. Best was the hospitality of the staff. The ancient lift scares me a bit, but not our luggage, and taking the short flight of stairs was good for me. A wonderful experience on our holiday!" The Grosvenor Hotel Timaru, New Zealand is situated in central Timaru close to the waterfront and just around the corner from the main Timaru shopping area.
