"We had a great stay at Towers on the Park." Natasha Thompson, 4 August 2010
"Dont think it was quite up to 41/2 star rating" Robert McWilliams, 19 July 2010
"It was handy to the city, a nice walk through Hagley Park. It was pretty reasonable for what we got, and the manager was helpful." Anonymous, 6 February 2009
"Nice and clean. The mat in the bathroom was one of the sucker types. This did not stick to the tiles at all. My 10yr old daughter had a nasty fall across the side of the bath resulting in significant bruising. I suggest that the mats are taken out as they are deceptive." Sean Thomas, 15 October 2008
"A very unfortunate comedy of incidents. First night: We were frozen - no spare blankets, electric blanket only working on one side. Couldn't get the heated towel rail to work and given we had a spa on arrival - there were no spare towels. Raised these issues with the lady in the office (who was extremely pleasant to deal with). Second Night: When we returned to the unit at 6.30 p.m. the room was steamed up. We soon found the source of the steam - the hot water had been left running in the bath and we were therefore unable to have a spa (one of the reasons we wanted the spa room). We also had to go and ask for a spare blanket as one hadn't been left. The electric blanket issue had been fixed, but both sides were on 3!!! A concern if we hadn't arrived back until much later. Sunday morning we decided to have a spa (as we couldn't have one the night before). The spa wouldn't turn off - we had to get out and turn it off at the wall. When my husband went to check out, I was in the bathroom and heard a noise and thought the cleaner had come in. Didn't pay too much attention, but then eventually walked out into the bedroom and realised there was no cleaner but there was a noise coming from the kitchen. The microwave had switched itself on. The turntable wasn't turning, but the light was on, the motor running and the display had "0". There was an awful electrical smell and I quickly pulled the plug out of the wall. Reported this to the lady in the office also. The room itself was perfectly fine, but the location appalling. Being right at the traffic lights on a Friday and Saturday night with the boy racers was certainly not something we had anticipated. Difficult for me to rate as the room was fine but the location totally unsatisfactory. The comedy of errors more worrying from an electrical Health & Safety perspective. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but felt it more appropriate to be honest so these matters can be addressed, than say nothing and you lose business." Carolyn Weyland, 3 September 2008
