"After inspecting the room, my husband and I decided to stay elsewhere, even though we realised we would probably have to forgo our deposit.

The reception area needed painting.

The internal staircase on the way to the room (which was on the 3rd floor - there was no lift) had very old carpet which was fraying at the edges. There was a very large hole in the wall which had been partially covered by a painting, with the uncovered part being stuffed with an old sheet or similar fabric.

The walls in the room had paint peeling off them, with pieces of exposed plaster, the tiles in the bathroom needed cleaning and/or replacing and the bedspread was old and tired looking. The walls were grey and the room was very cold. There was no air-conditioning as advertised, just a small oil heater (which had not been turned on in anticipation of our arrival).

The indoor pool needed to be filtered as there was a lot of dirt in the bottom, the "private" spa had a broken lock on the door, the walls in the room needed painting, the cover over the pool was ripped and dirty. Generally it did not seem inviting." Really disappointed, 4 June 2009
