"The bed was of superior quality. The pillow was near perfect. Breakfast was excellent. The pick up and drop off service was great. Overall stay was excellent. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. When we return to Wellington late at night we will definitely be staying here if they have a room available and we will be recommending this place to all our travelling friends." "Margaret & Dennis who own and run the place are very friendly and accommodating. Not a particularly good time to judge the town as it was cold, wet & windy! "Were there twice, and am giving a low score even though the standard of the hotel is very good. It's clean, tidy, has wifi ($7 for one hour and $18 for the night), minibar and, sky TV spa units. The reason I'm not keen on going back is because of the staff's attitude. The first time we arrived we were picked up by the complimentary shuttle and the man who was driving was shouting and yelling at us for not understanding everything he meant instantly ("Next time you can take a bloody cab!"). Oh yes, what kind of tourists were we not knowing everything?I was really offended, but bit my tongue. When we arrived the receptionist was impatient and cranky. You would think they might just have had a bad day (or a marital fight) but I had called the hotel two times before, and on the phone she was always sour and short. Our second visit at the hotel was much more pleasant, but still colored by impatience and the feeling of not being a welcomed guest. Don't be in the service business if you're not service minded!"
