"Rooms haven't changed since we last stayed there 25 years ago. Basic and shower was too powerful (almost blew me out of bath tub). We should have had an upgrade to business option but nothing was done??? Very average. Not worth the price." Steve Drummond, 26 October 2010

"Black greasy ring around the bath was revolting, had to ask for a heater for our room (yes, in winter), ranch slider could not be unlocked so had to trudge around the back of the building each time to get in & out of our room, party in next unit until 3am (the manager put an end to that after phoning them), only some items on the breakfast menu available - chef had not bought certain items, towels an off white colour. Staff did not appear to be trained in customer service / handling complaints - staff member stood there said & did nothing, very unapologetic. Wouldn't go back again." Anonymous, 25 August 2010
"The room appeared to be of poor quality, with the carpet being stained and torn, the bed linen and towels were yellow with age and the fittings in the batroom were chipped. Although the room was clean on closer inspection, the first impression was of a dirty and run-down room. "Very good - I certainly didn't expect to get the room serviced for the price I paid per night. I did feel that the portacot should have been put up for me not just left in the room. I will be staying at the Ambassador again perhaps in a Motel unit so I can have a microwave to heat baby food and milk as I had my 2 small granddaughters with me." Carol McFetridge, 19 August 2009
"Positives - Mgmt was very welcoming - and also resolved our issues well but see below. Negatives - Property is very tired and needs refurbishment - Housekeeping failed to replace the bathmat - milk in the fridge and neglected to perform a mini bar check and restock and make the bed - We received a voucher with an optional upgrade to cooked breakfast - but no chef is available on Mondays hence only continental - second morning chef available but no waitress - muffins inedible - ordered eggs benedict on cibatta but got no cibatta bread with broken egg and cold sauce - but excess of spinach. The Mgmt resolved the Housekeeping service issue by waiving the minbar charge (approx $7.50) however while we we playing golf further down the Island we recieved a call from the office staff inquiring how we were going to pay for the minibar. While we were able to set them straight our overall impression of this establishment is that there were too many negatives for us to want to stay there again." Godfrey & Susan Turner, 31 July 2009

"The Ambassador Motor Inn is old and tired. The window latch was broken and the shower sprayed everywhere except where you needed it. Only a few TV channels worked. There is a lot of traffic noise. "The bar could not provide a simple bourbon and coke on the Saturday night, as apparently the bar staff said their stocks were not replenished. Very bad form especially as there is a supermarket directly across the road. Customer service disappointing. The swimming pool too was very much below standards - very dirty." "We have stayed at the Ambassador a couple of times now. The room was adequate, but the whole complex gives you the feeling it is just about time for a refurbish.
