"The location of Base opposite the main pubs and bars in Taupo was a negative due to the continued noise through till 3.30am - not good quality sleeping! The beds were unbearably uncomfortable, even for a backpackers. The rooms were hot and stuffy. We will not choose to stay there again." Anonymous, 28 October 2009
