"The suite was lovely but was let down by the single glazed windows which allowed an excessive amount of noise in all night. Also a poor breakfast was supplied with stale croissants and no stewed fruit. The lack of a properly working toaster didn't help either." Adrienne Matthews, 5 December 2011
"Nice clean modern apartments. Minor problems but nothing insurmountable.Parking is tough overnight, and staff do not understand local parking garage charges. (They do not have any parking available with the motel, they just direct you to a parking garage).Annoying we had 3 people in our room but we could only get 1 key. Ridiculous!" "We were upgraded to a lovely harbour view apartment with a wonderful view. Apartment had very modern decor. Only negative was it wasn't airconditioned and blinds flapped against open windows. Staff were very helpful and provided a fan. Would return again." Janet Weir, 26 February 2009
"Good location, spacious and nice rooms, however it was spoilt by there being no air conditioning. If you opened the windows or sliding door, then you couldn't sleep for the road noise. Even with them closed the noise still kept us awake most the night. It also was not very pleasant to find there was a damp patch on the mattress when we got into bed late Friday evening. We were also put off by the rubbish bags left on the stairs uncollected for 2 days." D & C Monks, 13 February 2009
Chifley Suites Auckland Response: We have purchased fans for the rooms to help with the peak summer humdity. Damp patch on the mattress is confusing as nobody had been in the room for the day or evening before? Rubbish bags on stairs is unacceptable & been addressed by housekeeping. "Good location except car parking is in nearby/adjacent public carpark. The walls near the lift are unpainted concrete I guess for architectural feature but not very attractive. Inside the rooms are fully finished, clean and comfortable." Graham, 25 November 2008

"Really liked room and it was clean with lots of amenities. However no aircon and it got so hot we had to open windows and the traffic and city noise was prohibitive!!!!!! "Not impressed with cleaners walking in unannounced not even the courtesy of a knock on the door. Later that day returning to the room finding fresh towels thrown on the table and bedding unchanged, upon calling reception their response was to get off the phone as soon as possible with no interest in my complaint." "It was good to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit for the cost of a 1 bedroom unit. The facilities were great, everything that we needed was provided to a high standard.Our towels were not changed on the second day and we had to make a request for it, this was not actioned at all, it might have been because it was a public holiday (labour day)" Randhir Badul, 30 October 2008
