"Was met by the owner whom was very helpful, we booked the Queen room, also had a TV sitting area, room was excellent, very clean & the decor was lovely, gorgeous deck outside, lovely views over the gardens, will most definitley use this accomodation again. "Overall the stay was great with amazing views out most windows. The reason my rating wasn't higher is due to the fact that the bed was very hard and creeked everytime you moved, the other unusual thing was the house was divided in three and everyone could hear what you did or said. "Lovely property. We thoroughly enjoyed our night there. We got an upgrade from the Queen Room Large ($129) to the 2-story duplex ($50 more) which had 2 bedrooms, 3 lounges, 2 bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen - as the room that we had booked hadn't been cleaned yet (we arrived at 1pm). There is no pool on site - but there is a plunge pool that you can use about 500m away approx. Not 100% sure on that, as we didn't use it. We could hear the television of the people in the neighbouring rooms at night when we turned our TV off, but we couldn't hear anything from our bedroom, so that was not a problem at all. The Queen Room that states it has a balcony is on the ground floor and actually has an outdoor patio. The other queen room is upstairs and doesn't have a balcony - for those of you who rate having an outdoor area highly. The location of the Falls Chateau was great. We walked to Huka Falls Restaurant (couple of minutes away) and enjoyed a lovely meal there. And it's only a minute's drive from Taupo township. I would love to book out the entire place for a family holiday. All the suites have interconnecting doors that could be unlocked in order for all guests to have access to the whole house. All in all, it's a great property, and we would stay there again if we could get a good rate." Leanne Growden, 25 February 2009

-highway noise when sitting outside (double glazing means you do not hear a thing when inside)

"Over all a great place to stay, but the microwave had a part missing so we couldn't use it. Also the fridge had been turned off with icecreams left in it and they had defrosted.
