"Staff friendly and accommodating and I was happy to be able to leave my car parked there before and after check-in. Room, however, was quite spartan and the lighting is terrible, especially in the bathroom. Only one low wattage energy-saving bulb over the sink, which made it very difficult for shaving. Toilet very noisy in Rm 3 & flush button needed two or three pushes before noise stopped. Room was clean. Overall, room not worth the discounted $115.00. Should be $80.00. "Good points: Plenty of covered and uncovered parking, good water pressure in shower, easy 15 min walk to waterfront, extra bedding in rooms. OK rates if not looking for anything special.Not so good: Decor is well overdue for an update - stuck in th 70's. Looking worn and spaces not well utilised. "We have stayed there on a couple of other occasions and liked its location and, it seemed to be good value for money. However on this occasion, we noticed the room was more rundown, the provision of coffee and tea making supplies was poor and our bed was made badly on the second day- almost as though the room servicing was reluctant. We arrived about an hour later than we said (11pm) and had to call up the receptionist who came down in her pyjamas. We won't stay there again as we like to feel a little special when we go away and think we can get this and value for money elsewhere." Joy Stephens, 13 May 2009

"I guess you get what you pay for! Its all rather tired and is clearly aimed at the one night stayers, business etc and not really the tourist. The spa that is still advertised is long gone!!! They seemed suprised that we would want bedding for the babies cot that we had pre-booked, and when pushed could only suppply us with normal bedding! Overall, ok if only passing through but not if you want more than absolute basic!" Robert, 17 March 2009
"Place is tidy and clean and staff pleasant. Unfortunately it is an unsafe part of town in respect to crime - underground carpark is not secure and by all accounts sounds like they have regular car breakins! Wouldn't leave my vehicle there." Anonymous, 8 September 2008
