"We took 2 rooms for our family of 4. The 'Mahogany Room' with en-suite bathroom was excellent - well appointed, roomy and very comfortable. The Sun Room was generally ok (comfortable beds), but a bit tight on space for the two grown up boys. But, what is it with New Zealand and electric blankets? These seem altogether unnecessary (and we found them at just about every place we stayed). The owners were magnificent - no shortage of good food - snacks and a superb breakfast - and useful tourist advice about Oamaru. Even within the space of a one-day stay we felt like old friends.
