"Comfortable, modern and clean. Only drawback is car parking. Hotel does not have parking within the complex, cars stored off site. When we arrived transit parking was full and had to block footpath." Anonymous, 9 December 2010

"I have rated this highly mostly because of the excellent customer service which was first class. Food was good (not great) but good. The only negatives were a noisy air conditioner in our room and some of the electrical fittings were not in good condition. "The check in time for the hotel was 2pm. I arrived after a long bus ride from Wellington a little after 2pm only to be advised that I couldn't check in until after 2:30pm. I went to have some lunch and return after 2:30pm and was again advised that my room was not ready. I sat in the lobby until 2:50pm when they finally told me my room was ready. When I got to the room I found that the panel on the vanity in the bathroom had fallen off. I rang reception and was told they would come straight up but it took over 1 hour. "Difficult to find driveway into Hotel because of the busy street and buses, taxis outside. Hard to back out when trying to leave. Only two English breakfast teabags in room so no morning tea (6 or more at other establishments). Other teabags were herbal which not everyone drinks. Only a quarter of a roll of toilet paper left. No new roll left for our use. Not very generous with supplies. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat and drink. Dinner booking couldn't be taken until later in the evening due to being fully booked, which was disappointing as we had to go to a concert and couldn't wait until 8pm to have dinner. Staff were pleasant and friendly, and reasonably efficient. Some items were left behind and were able to be collected without any problem.
