"Apartment served purpose for 1 nights accomodation but I would not stay any longer as we found the apartment very small. Reception area was staffed by very competent well mannered staff. Apartment area was clean but some of the utensils were not very clean and dish that contained tea/coffee and sugar sachets was dirty." Maxine, 11 November 2009

"Clean and comfortable. Inspite of requesting a room not facing the main street over 4 weeks ahead this was not available. This is hard to believe in a 900 room complex! "We always stay in motels or hotels when away so an apartment was a new experience for us. I was very impressed and would now in future look at this as our first option. It was so much more comfortable than a hotel room and having a dishwasher and washing machine and cd/dvd in the room was a huge bonus. We bought our own movies to watch" Mel W, 15 December 2008
"The staff were very nice to us. The room was very fresh and clean, the beds especially, it was a very compact apartment. I would not have liked to have had more than 2 people in it, but it was great for what we wanted. Thank you. Oh and very central - easy to find and car parking was great." "We enjoyed our stay however felt that there should have been more sachets of washing, dish washing etc supplied given that we were there for 4 nights. (We were aware this was unserviced and understood this to mean that there would be nobody coming in to clean the apartment. We had no problem with this). "Nice compact hotel. Easy walking distance to Aotea Square, city Hall, Sky Tower etc. Room was tastefully decorated, with full range of equipment like washing machine, dishwasher, stove, microwave etc. The second bedroom was an internal room without a window but was so quiet, I slept like a log. "The Oaks Smartstay Apartments were ideal for our needs as researchers doing our field research in the Auckland CBD. We are likely to use this acommodation next time. We appreciated having sufficient room, the facilities, internet access and desk to work at. Our only complaints are first the lack of recycling facilities. It should be possible to organise recycling bins for bottles, paper, tins and plastic for the whole apartment complex. We were concerned about the amount of rubbish produced. Second, we noticed that even though the bathroom floor had been vacuumed prior to our arrival it was still quite dirty, as though it had not been mopped for a long time."
