"A not as quiet as normal due to a Rugby game in town. Several late - comers well after the game were noisy and disturbed our sleep.Otherwise a good place to stay for a short time. "While the facilities were generally ok given the rates we were not impressed with the service.When we booked for 3 kids and 2 adults we didn't expect that 2 kids would have to share a double bed. On arrival there was no bed for the 3rd child. We were subsequently given a fold up bed.At 10.30pm when we set down the fold out bed in the lounge we discovered that there was no blanket. When I asked the staff member at reception for a blanket she was rude and condescending and seemed somewhat inconvenienced. She mumbled something that she would get in trouble with the laundry department. She then went and found what was the last blanket which turned out to be a single. The fold out bed was also very uncomfortable as it did not lie flat. As a result we did not get a good nights sleep.Some of the lights and power points didn't workBased on our experience we will hesitate to stay in Ventura Inn and unless we get direct feedback we will tell our friends and work colleagues. Quality Inn on Fenton Response: It is unfortunate that your experience at Ventura Rotorua was so unsatisfactory. I have looked into this problem with the service to ensure that it does not happen again, it is unacceptable! Please accept my apologies. Ventura Rotorua prides it's self on our service and I am very dissapointed that this has occurred. "When booking in it was a pitty that the staff did not know that we had all ready paid a deposit when we made the booking. They tried charging full price and then they were not sure how to handle that we had already paid a deposit. We were told it would be all fixed by the time we checked out. When checking out thay again tried to charge full price and then we had to wait while they worked out how to adjust the account to take into account the deposit we had paid." Anonymous, 17 April 2008
