"Well positioned for the Vector arena & Quayside area. Clean & comfy. The shower was awesome. Good value for money. The bed was only a double size but adequate. We thought it could be improved by providing a patio table & chairs for the balcony. However we would stay here again & recommend it to others. The parking charge was in small print so came as an added extra to what we initially thought the price was. The batteries in the TV remote were flat." Tim Ford, 9 November 2010

"I don't like hotels that nickel and dime you to death. The refrigerator didn't work and froze all my food. I asked to be compensated for it and they didn't do anything or even acknowledge it. The sink didn't drain in the kitchen and they didn't fix it. They also charged for Internet (high prices), parking, and then when I asked them for some dish-soap to wash my dishes they wanted a dollar fifty. I will never stay there again. I have been travelling in NZ for 2 months and stayed in many hotels, and motels. This was hands down the worst!" Anonymous, 10 April 2009

We value our location at the top of Shortland Street as it offers a nice city or harbor view to our guests, and also offers the guests the advantage of being in the CBD area of Auckland City, walking distance to shops, café’s restaurants, the viaduct, public transportation and the business district.
Ezibed.com Response: We presume this guest is referring to the apartments being located near the top of Queen Street therfore a long walk uphill from the bottom of Queen Street.
"All in all it was a comfortable stay. We arrived early. They had the cleaning of the room done by 11.30am for us which was great. The bed was really comfortable. Bathroom needs some tidying up. Peeling paint above the shower. Dryer didn't work unless you held the door shut. A cracked cup in the cupboard which was replaced for us.Anonymous, 4 November 2008
"We were not allocated a car park and were required to park on the street. The receptionist was most unhelpful and told us we failed to give instruction that a car park was required. I honestly did not see that box to tick when making the reservation, and I don't believe it actually existed. Then she said she didn't care as she doesn't have a car to worry about parking. The room was dirty, cups were cracked and actually leaked, the dryer door was broken and stayed open resulting in the bathroom door to be blocked to a point, there were only 2 towels and 5 of us stayed there. The room itself did not have a brochure instructing us where the pool was or other hotel facilities existed. The beds had no top sheet. Other hotel guests complained about how hopeless the whole experience was. When we checked out we were charged the whole amount, not minus our deposit, so we went through another rigmarol. We have stayed at Quest hotels throughout NZ and found them to be very good. This was disgusting and made our 1st stay in Auckland definitely one to remember. The main page for our hotel advertises that the car park is an extra $11.50 and that should be included in the “special/extra requirements” section.
