"Old charm, Irish pub is nice, queen bed too soft for two persons, compensated by extra bed in room. Maybe they should warn for the odd coal train passing at 10 meters distance. Fortunately we only had one, sounded like an earthquake. It added to the special effects of this place. Value for money." Fred, 18 April 2010
"Quite run down. TV power cord was draped across the pathway of where you use the basin. The door to the bedroom jammed and you could be trapped in there if there wasn't anyone on the other side. No fire escape either!" Lisa Mazey-Edgeworth, 14 April 2010
"The room was quiet, as I requested, but was inclined on occasion to get smelly due to the windows close proximity to resteraunt kitchen extraction duct. As the weather was mild I had to open the window for ventilation. The refrigerator in the hotel kitchen was too small and had a correspondingly small freezer space, there was no way that I could store any food in it as it was already full. Otherwise I found the room clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable value for money" Malcolm Gilbert, 20 March 2010
"The staff were very friendly. The rates were cheap and overall I think value for money spent. We knew that it wasn't going to be 5 star accomodation." Andy, 24 July 2008
"Not flash but rooms clean and well serviced and great value for the price. I would stay there again." Noel Gourdie, 23 April 2008
