"The room we order turned out to have two single beds instead of a double or queen,when we rang up to ask about changing staff appeared unsympathetic and unwilling to solve the situation. Our room was like a backpackers room and we were worken up several times in the night due to guests inside and outside the room." Anonymous, 10 April 2012


"We stayed in a "Superior Lake View Room"; beds were comfy, it was clean, decor could do with refreshing the paint work as it is a little tired! We were looking forward to using the spa but unless you want to be the entertainment for the bar and restaurant and other people with rooms opening on to it (as it is situated in front of the bar with everyone overlooking it) we were not that keen on that so never used it. This was very disappointing as the spa was a selling point for us we would have stayed else where. It was ok but would definately not pay any more than ezi bed price, was handy enough to town( an easy 10 min walk) but think i will stay some where else next time I'm in Queenstown." Anonymous, 1 June 2011

"The staff were great, however the accommodation was very poor. You would get better value for money from a holiday park, than from this place. We got a first floor closest with poor quality fittings and furnishings. We paid for front facing and we got a view of the car park with trees in front, with very little views of the lake. I got woken up from about 5am with the sound of tourist buses picking up their guests, till 7.30am in the morning. Very poor sound proofing.

Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown Response: I have looked into the guest booking below. This guest booked a Superior lake facing room, which he was allocated. These rooms all face the lake unlike the Deluxe lake view rooms located levels 1 to 5 which have a full lake view. I am sorry he feels that the accommodation was not what he was expecting.
