"Very friendly and helpful" Barbara Hobson, 21 January 2012
"Pick up service from the airport was fast, easy and efficient. Hotel location was a bit remote from food and shopping, would have been better if we had our own vehicle. Staff were accommodating and so so friendly. Thank you for a great stay." Joeanne Walters, 4 January 2012
"If all you want is a bed without frills & fairly close to the airport, then this is your place. Cleanliness is not a high priority nor is maintenance and repair." Anonymous, 28 December 2011
"The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room extremely suitable for my need for accommodation close to the airport, quiet comfortable room and reasonably priced. Free internet was a bonus." Rosemary, 15 December 2011
"I had a very pleasant stay. It was all I needed and the service was excellent." Kerry O'Sullivan, 17 August 2011
"Great value motel. Family room was spacious and clean with very comfortable beds." Anonymous, 10 August 2011
"Our room had a door into other room. So when the people arrived next door we could hear every thing. So not sound proof. Over all it was ok. Rather shabby but clean. Staff very helpful." Anonymous, 5 August 2011
"Excellent price, very good service with free and fast airport transfers. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. Overall quality and cleanliness of room was excellent." Waka Kernohan, 14 June 2011
"Friendly, helpful and efficient service. Very clean room, well serviced. I would stay there again." Lisa Millar, 28 May 2011
"A very tired and run down motel. We were also told we could not park out front of our unit and where to leave the car for our trip away. There was no available parking and we had to leave the keys of our car so it could be moved. Not what we expected and not happy about leaving keys. Very uncomfortable bed. Mould in the bathroom." Peter and Jain Tait, 16 July 2010
SilverOaks Inn SilverPoint - Auckland Airport Response: All guest parkoutside their units overnight and we have spaces for long term parking,in this instance we were full up as the hotel does not know when guests are leaving their cars. They just turn up. We could have told them to park at airport but we asked for keys so we could move their car when a space became available. Our car parking is complimentry.Gests cannot leave their cars outside the units as most are away for 2 weeks and we have aother guests arriving. The units are very clean.
"Too many of the "safer" drive in parking spaces taken up by long term parking. Overnighters have to park outside units on driveway." Anonymous, 23 June 2010
"Although the accommodation is getting a bit tired, I found the service very good and the unit clean and tidy. The free shuttle service is a good bonus and is quite handy to shops and airport." Gregory Furlong, 18 June 2010
"My stay was very good, the room was very clean and the service was very good." Anonymous, 30 May 2010
"Great hosts, great service!" Anonymous, 10 May 2010
"When i booked it on your website it said that it was 3 star but when i got there it was way below 3 star , the floor carpet was torn at different places , the cobwebs on the exhaust fan on the ceiling in bathroom, the shower box edge had brown stain , allover it was very bad." Hemant Bulsara, 24 February 2010
Ezibed.com Response: Thanks for your feedback Hemant this is a qualmark rated property so we do not do the rating ourselves.
"It was clean, comfortable and everything was in working order. Loved the free breakfast stuff in the room. Came in handy because we had to be at the airport at 03h30 in the morning. The staff was very friendly. Could have done with a bit more milk for the cereals and tea. The only concern I had was that my vehicle could not be parked closer to the room I occupied. I was not comfortable with leaving my car so close to a main road. Room 2 was allocated to my guest and I." Elmarie Senger, 14 January 2010
"Only query for a lady travelling alone in a foreign country was that the room windows don't lock properly - otherwise just right. Thank you for your reliability in collecting from and returning to the airport - especially the 4:30am start. Breakfast was great. Thank you. (I have worked in the office of Holiday apartments for the past 14 years in Hobart, Tas.)." Shirley Myler, 9 January 2010
"Good place for an overnight with kids. Shame about the soft beds downstairs - killed my back." Iain Haggarty, 31 December 2009
"Good value for the price and good service too. Great to park and fly!" Paulette Gordon, 14 November 2009
"Booking worked smoothly but room not aired and smelt musty. Skirting and corners of ceiling had cob webs. Sheets marked. Breakfast left evening prior to allow for an early start but very basic and not in the fridge." Paul Russell, 9 November 2009
"Adequate." Anonymous, 2 November 2009
"Very friendly staff and a warm bed! Breakfast was much appreciated. Very good for the low tariff." Jack Langfield, 9 October 2009
"We had good service, with all the extras provided efficiently and willingly. Met our expectations." Anonymous, 6 October 2009
"No shampoo otherwise OK." Anonymous, 29 September 2009
"Great service, front desk, transport to & fro & location but walls a little thin - neighbour left very early & noisy. We'll be back. Thanks." Glenise Robertson, 21 September 2009
"I thought it was clean, tidy and the price was good. The service was great." Judy Burden, 19 September 2009
"Very basic. Left with lots of "bites" from sleeping in their beds. Wouldn't stay there again." Anonymous, 5 September 2009
"I found SilverOaks inn Auckland Airport to be friendly, helpful and the room to be ideal for what I needed. My only comment would be that although there was an electric frypan etc, I would have found a microwave easiest to heat the food I brought. As it was the staff were happy to help me out in their kitchen. I will go back next time I need an airport motel." Vanessa Coupland, 16 August 2009
"Was nice thanks. Room a bit noisy (snoring next door!). Easy to find and great parking." Heather Neels, 11 August 2009
"Friendly helpful staff." Pamela Maclean, 29 July 2009
"A good comfortable nights stay with everything we needed. Quiet, affordable, good service with the airport transfers and a nice breakfast included. Great." Catherine Taylor, 13 July 2009
"Great service & very clean & tidy units. Also very obliging staff and efficient shuttle to and from airport." Rachel Birch, 12 July 2009
"Kia ora - it was a short stay but the people and rooms were great. Thank you." Desiree Thompson, 2 July 2009
"Friendly and exactly what to expect. Excellent overnight stay before a flight. The transport also worked well." Mrs Johnson, 1 July 2009
"Pickup was courteous and very accomodating to our friend following in a car behind us especially at 1.00am in the morning. The family room was excellent and we had everything we required, the service was excellent." Sharon O'Hara, 28 May 2009
"Value for money great. Cheap and cheerful, no frills, close to the airport. Would stay again if I needed a shortstay near the airport for cheap rate." Catherine McKelvey, 25 May 2009
"Good value for money, Would have been better if microwave and Sky TV are provided." PM, 6 May 2009
"Thank you for two very comfortable nights. Freindly, helpful staff made a very busy weekend much easier, much appreciated." Joanne Brailsford, 5 May 2009
"Comfort Inn was comfortable, clean but position right at entrance not the best. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating." Valerie Beaumont, 6 April 2009
"Handy to airport lovely breaky." Kevin & Yvonne Graham, 30 March 2009
"Hotel itself was great although basic, but we knew this before we booked. Also they allow you to leave your car at the hotel while you are away but they do not pick you up from the airport on your return, you have to make your own way back to get your vehicle, which is a little annoying." Rhonda Hutton, 27 March 2009
"Rooms need to be updated. Very 80's." Wendy, 21 March 2009
"Very good value for money - slightly grumpy night manager, and a forgotten wake up call were the only issues I had, everything else excellent." Patricia Fraser, 19 March 2009
"Average standard but great for a big group of people and cheap." Potaka Maipi, 29 January 2009
"Overall, a reasonable stay. Staff friendly but not intrusive, breakfast food pretty good. The only thing that was well below standard was the cleaning. This let the whole stay down (we were there 3 nights). Motel Management need to inspect the cleaning systems and train the staff to maintain a much higher standard." Mark Campbell, 26 January 2009
"The room had only three TV channels and had been advertised as having Sky TV - whan asked about this was told they no longer had Sky as 'boss' would not pay bill. There was a hole in the bathroom wall and the blind was broken in the kitchen. The information booklet gave no indication as to where the closet shops etc were. Was impressed with shuttle service though to and from domestic and international." Anonymous, 12 January 2009
"Clean and comfortable basic motel, good for an overnight stay before or after a flight. Brochure info said airport shuttle left 1/2 hourly but on trying to book one for 6:30 we were told they were only on the hour which meant to be there for a 7 am check in we would need the 6am shuttle." J. Farr, 12 January 2009
"Not the cheapest option out there and certainly not value for money. It's a very basic hotel. No sky tv, have to pay to use the wireless internet hotspot and old furnishings. You could stay in one of the cheaper hotels for the same quality." Anonymous, 11 January 2009
"Clean, tidy, no problem with ride to airport, basic tv - no sky, better tv could be an option for those waiting for flights at odd hours?" Yvonne Harvey-Griggs, 9 January 2009
"Booked 6 beds and only got 4. Atrocious customer service, guy at reception walked off halfway through me talking. Do not stay there." Anonymous, 8 January 2009
Ezibed.com Response: Response from the SilverOaks group: Thanks for your email re feedback on Comfort Inn Silverpoint. I have spoken to the Manager and it appears there was a new staff member on duty and there seems to have been some confusion with this booking. The room has a Queen bed and three singles and they should have been provided with a rollaway for the 6th person. This feedback has been passed to the Operations Manager for follow up with all staff at the property to ensure this does not happen again in the future. Kind regards, Lynda Trembath Silveroaks Group
"The hotel would not take me to the airport to meet my girlfriend off the plane. They would not have someone there to pick her up. They told me she could ring from there - but she did not know where we were staying and I had no way to contact her. The promise of a free shuttle to the airport was not so in this instance." Anonymous, 5 January 2009
"A very adequate motel at a very good price. I would recommend it as a very suitable motel to use when flying out of Auckland." Anonymous, 5 November 2008
"The toaster in our room didn't work. We had booked a shuttle for 4:30 am. We were out the office at that time, as were another couple. There was no driver. At 4:40 I rang the Inn from my mobile, waking the driver, who was sleeping in the back of the office. He made no apology for being late. He took another 5mins to get himself sorted and got angry when I went back in to get him. He "eyeballed" me at the airport while we getting our luggage out. He did not help to unload the luggage. I would NEVER stay at this accommodation again nor would I recommend it to anyone." Anonymous, 4 November 2008
"The scuttle was excellent to have available. Getting directions from the office person was very helpful." Sally Hooker, 29 October 2008
"Very average accommodation, very strong cleaning odour in room, quite offensive. Beds comfortable enough though." Lyn Raines, 21 October 2008
"Depressing room and no value at all for the price." Robert Pochter, 21 September 2008
"Basic motel with closeness to the airport and free shuttle being it's main features." Anonymous, 13 September 2008
"Very comfortable; easy to get to; and pleasant staff." Keith Gregory, 8 September 2008
"Excellent stay. Recommended." Martin Cash, 6 July 2008
"Efficient airport pick up. Comfortable stay. Would stay again." Gareth Pearce, 9 June 2008
"Very run down and needs refurbishment. Staff very nice and helpful." Anonymous, 9 June 2008
"Facilities were good, service was business-like, felt it could have been a bit more customer focussed. Found it an interesting 'special offer' to give 2 free continental breakfasts in room, when the booking was for 4 adults. Appreciated the free shuttle service to the airport but thought that it would be great to have the offer of a shuttle ride back to the motel on our return. Made retrieving the car either expensive ($25 taxi) or difficult (negotiating with an airport bus to drop off nearby motel). The best feature was the cost of this motel - very good price for the facilities." Anonymous, 29 May 2008
"Our room was comfortable but the service left a lot to be desired. After waiting twenty minutes for a shuttle with a young baby, I rang again and received what I felt was an extremely rude response (the timeframe would have been fine if we had known what to expect). Unfortunately, the driver was very hostile and slammed the door and did not communicate with us at all. My wife felt quite worried about the stuation. The receptionist (who I had previously rang) was also quite cold. The next day, the shuttle was on time and the driver was not explicitly rude. However, no greetings were exchanged and she did not bother to say goodbye. For the above reasons, I am unable to recommend this establishment." Brad Thompson, 27 May 2008
"Comfortable room and facilities, if beginning to show their age now. Complimentary breakfast was rather plain - fresh fruit and/or yogurt would have been nice with the cereal." Anonymous, 26 May 2008
"Great stay and service.Could do with free internet but apart from that this place is all good." Martin and Ning, 13 May 2008
"The front of house staff were very rude, and didn't speak good English. I waited one hour for the courtesy coach from the airport due to the poor English spoken. I then waited 30 minutes for a portacot to be delivered to the room at 10.30 pm. No air conditioning in the room, and the door lock was very dodgy." Anonymous, 21 April 2008
Ezibed.com Response: Please note these rooms are not advertised as having air-conditioning.
"Double bed much more comfortable than single. Breakfast okay except white bread only. Shuttle and breakfast great additions." Anonymous, 18 April 2008
"Single beds too small - feet hang over edge. Breakfast okay. Shuttle and breakfast in room great in terms of convenience for late arrival and early departure." Anonymous, 18 April 2008
